Home For Meghan's Wedding

I flew out of Baltimore Friday, September 9 for Meghan's wedding and was picked up by my amazing man in Detroit and we drove to the U.P. from there. We stopped in Gaylord and went to Jay's Sporting Goods. They had some adorable country christmas cookie plates there that were on sale that I loved. I wish I would have bought them now :( I also bought a new Columbia fleece this time in a deep rose color. We went to eat at La Senoritas and it was GOOD!!!

Crossing the bridge we watched the sunset

When we finally crossed the bridge and made it to Grandma's she had taken an apple pie out of the freezer and baked it so we had it when I got there. She is the bestest!!!! And it was amazing with ice cream!

Saturday Patrick and I went to eat at Frank's in the Soo. I was not impressed with my breakfast. After breakfast we went to get him some fudge but got sidetracked and went to watch a freighter in the Locks. Then we went to get fudge. The boy loves it! Then we walked by the place we meet! The haunted depot! I worked there over the summer.

Never gets old
Then we had to go back to hotel so we could get ready for the wedding. I bought hot rollers to use but I wanted to use moose to hold the curls longer so I got my hair slightly damp. Well this didn't work out like the roller's directions said it would. My hair did not turn out the way I wanted. Poor Patrick had to watch me be angry over my hair. I told him to leave and I would text him when I was done but he didn't listen haha

We went to the wedding and it was at St. Mary's across from the river. It was beautiful! The church was wonderful and Meg looked amazing. I could not understand the pastor though and that was a bummer :( Her mom made a lot of the stuff for the wedding and it showed because it was so beautiful.

Julie and I; just like ol' times

After the wedding we took Julie with us to the antlet's for lunch. I had been talking about their burgers for so long and i was so disappointed in it, it was overcooked. After lunch we went back to the hotel and played our free money at the Casino. We ended up winning $85 total!!! Amazing

The following are some random pictures of the rest of Patrick's and my time up in the Yoop. I loved spending my time with him whether it was driving to the two heart river or hanging out with my family. We can have a good time together.

The one thing Patrick wanted to do when we were up here is to go Salmon fishing so we decided to drive to the two heart river. This is were he stayed and camped and fished the weekend we meet. I think he was pretty excited to take me up there and to see if the fish run.  On the way up there we went through the falls, we couldn't remember which set of falls we had been to before. We decided that we had both been to the lower so went to the upper.

Well when we got in there we realized we had both seen these before. So we went and took and couple pictures. As we were taking pictures some thunder heads came rolling in and we got drenched.

The Upper Falls so pretty

Needless to say after our weekend we were pretty tired. As we headed back down state we got as far as St. Ignance and needed to find something to do to wake us up so we decided to go check out the lighthouse.
