Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Chelsea and I were in great need to get out of the city, so on our day off I looked up and found a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayride place up in Maryland about an hour outside of DC. The view as we drove closer were amazing. It was great to see fields, barns, and horses.

My first corn maze...........

and I tripped and feel in a hole because I was looking at the map and not paying attention.

Chelsea had to get every punch there was

This is her at the last marker before we could get out

The final path out of the maze

Kids activity area includes a mini maze with hay bales, a teepee made of corn stalks, something made out of tires to climb on
The entrance tent and the snack shop where we bought some cider - store bought :( and pumpkin bread (which was pretty darn good)

The animals which you CAN NOT PET! :( Some pigs, turkeys, a  goat and a cow. I could care less that they had them since I can't pet them. Poor city people have probably never been that close to animals like they had.

A view of the corn field

Some of the first pumpkins I saw. I didn't go for the ones close to the entrance, those are the ones that are picked over. I went to the other side and found lots of small pumpkins.

LOTS of pumpkins! It was pretty neat to see all the pumpkins but as you can see there are lots of people here.

I like this picture! You can barely see any people, just a little bit of some person's legs.

This is how I found my pumpkin just sitting on top of another one rocking an awesome hair-do

This is him before he got a hair cut. He is just perfect for my little dorm room

cute lil photo opt with my pumpkin after his hair cut

The pumpkin and my 3 dollar target wicker pumpkin. I was so excited when I bought the wicker one. I love wicker! don't they look cute together.

Baltimore National Aquarium

I love aquariums!!! I didn't take too many pictures of my own while I was there. I was too busy enjoying the view. I have been here before during my senior trip and it was a lot different than the last time I was there in 2005. They had developed a lot of exhibits that were pretty neat. Like the Australia room that had lots of plants, birds, reptiles, and fish in the exhibit.

There is a big pool with huge rays of all sizes along with sharks .........

Sharks like this nurse shark

They are really hard to get a picture of because they........aahhh........move.........quickly

Not sure what this is but I'm thinking a sea cucumber

Some pretty fish

A lion fish? Possible

Turtle turtle

Some type of catfish I believe........I like catfish they are so ugly but so cool

Some frogs in one of the exhibits, they are deadly

Chelsea making another pressed penny

Ta Da!

The following pictures are not mine but are from the aquariums's website

We bought a package deal when we got there and we saw the dolphin show. The show was not as good as it was in '05 because they were really pushing conservation  through this video so there was less time for the dolphins to do tricks. It was still pretty sweet though they are so smart
Another part of the package included a  4D movie that was actually really sweet.  4D includes special effects that touch or spray you according to the different parts of the movies
A newer exhibit of all jellyfish. There are so many different kinds. The exhibit is very interesting and I really enjoy jellyfish. There are super tiny ones that you can barely see.
A cool crab with blue

octopus are pretty sweet but they still creep me out all thanks to the baywatch episode with the killer octopus
Some other neat looking fish

Another shark picture. they have this awesome exhibit that you walk down into the dark. It takes you from bright blue water down into the dark in each layer there are lots of fish and SHARKS. it was pretty interesting

Zoo Pics part 2

This is part two of Chelsea's and I's adventure to the zoo. Some of the pictures didn't turn out well and my camera died while here so I didn't get a lot of good pictures.

Mr. Lizards hanging out relaxing

A long necked turtle - its an actually species and they are pretty creepy looking. How does his head fit into  his shell?

Not sure what kind of antelope thing this is but he is sure hansom and he has a lot of ladies with him.

EMU ---- oh wait not Eastern Michigan, rather the bird

Otter Love You

So cute -- they remind me of Patrick because we saw that one in St. Ignance

Fisher Cat -- Looks kind of like every other cat you've seen

You can't see me !

First thing you see when we walked into the ape house . This big guy came right up to the window to check some people out.
Mama and baby. I LOVED watching them

Snake

So this is an anaconda you can barely see it, you just need to look real hard

Best nose ever
